Cycle for the Cause

Join Gotham Cheer outside New York’s LGBT Community Center as we celebrate this epic three-day ride from Boston to New York to combat HIV/AIDS, its stigma and welcome riders, staff and fans to the Cycle for the Cause Finish Line and Closing Ceremony!

“Bring Change, Be Open!” Join Gotham Cheer at the 2024 US Open Pride to celebrate our LGBTQ+ community, athletes and tennis fans! Progress flags will fly around the grounds and Gotham Cheer will be featured entertainment and greet you throughout the day.

US Open Fan Week
August 20

Come watch Gotham Cheer at the US Open (on the ESPN Stage), as we kick off Fan Week with a performance, featured tennis events and family-friendly activities, all anchored by the US Open Qualifying Tournament.

NYC Pride March
June 30

The inaugural March took place in 1970, one year after the Stonewall Uprising, and has since evolved into an annual civil rights demonstration. Its purpose has expanded over time to encompass raising awareness about the fight against AIDS and honoring those we have lost to illness, violence, and neglect.

Brooklyn Pride Parade
June 8

Brooklyn Pride includes a fantastic Festival during the day and then a vibrant Night-Time Parade. This family-friendly Pride celebration is colorful and unique, with a casual vibe.

New Queens Pride
June 2

The New Queens Pride Parade & Multicultural Festival is the second largest Pride celebration in NYC. Founded in 1993, it is held in Jackson Heights, Queens and is a bright celebration of Diversity and Pride - with an international flavor.

AIDS Walk New York
May 19

AIDS Walk New York is the world’s largest and most visible HIV and AIDS fundraising event. Thousands of people will converge on the Naumburg Bandshell in Central Park united by the common cause of sustaining GMHC’s vital programs to serve New Yorkers living with or affected by HIV and AIDS.
